Use NLP to Kill those Nagging Voices
Have you ever had one of those situations where you want to do something, but some little voice in your head tells you: "you're not good enough", "they won't like you", or some other destructive little gem?

Well, think of one of those occasions now.
Start by paying attention to where the voice comes from. Is it above you, behind you, coming from over one shoulder, or maybe from within?
Next, do you know who's voice it is? Is it your voice or is it someone else's?
What kind of a tone does the voice have? I'm guessing that if its someone else then it's probably quite confident sounding. If it's your own then it could either confident, or weak and whinny depending upon what its saying.
Once you have a clear recollection we're going to start to play with it a little.
How much of an effect would the voice have on you if it came from far away, so you could hardly hear it? Try moving the voice around - perhaps make the voice come from further away. Remember the further away the voice is, the quieter it will be, Moving the voice around in this way is based on NLP submodalities.
What would happen if the voice sounded like Donald duck? Choose a voice that you can't take remotely seriously and change the voice to that one,
“The easier you can make it inside your head, the easier it will make things outside your head.”
Another approach would be to imagine how the voice would sound if it was the same person but with a mouthful of helium?
How about adding a backing track to the voice. Something taken from Benny Hill or something like an old Black and White slapstick film such as one by Charlie Chaplin or Laurel and Hardy?
Can you listen to that voice now without laughing?
Can you take the voice quite so seriously anymore?
Once you've got the hang of this NLP exercise, find all those nagging voices, change them, and chase them away.
