NLP Neurological Levels - what are they and how are they used?

NLP Neurological are a way of understanding different levels of experience and can be used to help clients reach congruence with their goals.

Basically, a goal may be something that seems a good idea when viewed from one level, but isn't such an aim for the client when viewed from another level.

The usual NLP Neurological levels are:

  • Spirituality
  • Identity
  • Beliefs and Values
  • Capability
  • Behavior
  • Environment

The general concept is that the higher levels influence how someone interacts at the lower levels. If you struggle to exercise as regularly as you need (behavior), then you could change your beliefs about what the results of exercises are worth.
